The Lumina is waiting on some new pulleys and belt. The 80mm stuff isn't strong enough so he had to step up to some Top Fuel style 100mm belts! We didn't know it was going to be this hard to run 9s!! - By JODY 10/8/2009 at 09:51:20 PM
The car needs some GEAR like big time. It's a 3-speed tranny and the car isnt shifting into drive until about a 100-150 ft from the 1/8th mile finish line. It should have been shifting to drive at or just past the 330-ft, so FAIL!!! Since it's gonna be an 1/8th mile runner this is NOT ACCEPTABLE, but I'll HAVE TO run it like that until next year (no money). Headers are the main thing holding us back performance wise though. Headers are WAY TO SMALL for this application. Opinion is that the engine could make 150-200 more horses with the right sized header on it. Maybe next year cause the MONEY ain't there THIS YEAR to change much of anything other than the belt/pulley stuff. When the belts/pulleys get here and installed then:

There has been no mention of the 2 remaining No Box cars that are still in the running for the Summit Championship part of the Dallas race. They are John Stelly with his Blue & Beige Mustang....and Richard Cook and his Yellow Camaro. These guys are going to have to run each other here at the track with 1 time trial and then 1 race for $422.00. The winner goes to Redline on November 15th to race the remaining 9 team's winners for the right to win the IHRA Summit Super Series Division 4 No Box Championship and an IHRA Silver Card & a Wally. Guys we are all behind you, which ever of you win this track race. Theyre pretty bad right now and if they dont come up i dont race. Other than that I am going to try to get my race truck into the homecoming parade. heh heh heh! - Hey Fred, I need some door prizes for the Cruise'nSilsbee car show. If I purchase a free night of racing (T-N-T) for 1 car and 2 people would you be willing to kick in another. That way we would have 2 quality door prizes and get you some exposure at the show. Thanks to whomever posted up the flier below. And I know it's going to be a great race day what with the Outlaws coming , but if ya get the chance ya'll come by and see us on the way to the track. Yes , we have a race car class , giving out 2 places or awards for each class. We have 27 classes of vehicles. Trying to have something for everyone. Giving out 68 nice wooded with brass plates plaques and 5 Trophies. 1 Best in Show car or truck 1 Best in Showm Motorcycle 1 Best In show Paint 1 Best in show Motor and 1 Best in Show ATV .
