*FOOL* Altered
to the 'DALE very soon.
Made progress on the chassis dyno today. We actually got a *275 Horsepower reading today. It's almost ready to take on the factory Mustang GT's. Stay Tuned!!!

The car is looking great......... Can't wait to see it at the Dale. Got to see the car a few weeks ago........ Sounds as good as it looks. - By Michael Houston 9/15/2009 at 05:31:55 AM
THANKS Michael. I will AGREE that it is an extremely LOUD lil motor and THAT's For SURE!!! Eric Stubbs says that from his attempted tuning of it, that I *OWE* him the money for a new pair of EARS. I think that the Chassis Dyno session finally finished his hearing OFF. It's not a big engine but I do plan on hitting it with a lot of boost and a lot of Q-16 by the end of the season (*IF) all goes well. Gonna try and get it to run in the same range as the TIGER with a little less down-time between freshen-ups. - By "D-1" and ONLY 9/15/2009 at 09:46:44 PM
Let us all know when it is gonna hit the Dale. Many of us are anxious to see it at the home track. Hell I will even try to get Eric out so we can see how many haters there are out there LOL. Hope to see it soon. - By Michael Houston 9/16/2009 at 07:38:25 AM
Thanks Mike:
Hope that I don't run into any problems, but you know how new combos are. WE are CLOSE. Pretty darn CLOSE to doing what you talked about. Estimate 3-4 weeks. The data says that were getting CLOSE to being able to make some decent low 5 second passes {1/8th). But Eric Stubs, Jody and I *DO* have a lot of bugs to work out, PLUS we have to make a visit to our local favorite *TWISTED CUSTOMS* to let them fab up a couple additional upgrades. It's gonna take some LUCK and some more money

Wow if you sponsor a vehicle then you should have enough common sense to know what happens when catastophic failure occurs. But then again some people don't have common sense. Good ridance and life at the Dale will continue without you just fine!!!!!!!!!! - By Michael 9/15/2009 at 05:29:06 AM

Yep I agree with all above on this one only I sponser 4 trucks and we got out and help clean the track with the guys. This is the type of stuff I was talking about further down the page. It is a small track and if you come expecting to be treated like its the Nationals or something, you will be disappointed. The oil down I think your speaking of went the whole lenght of the track and was very wide at the other end. The track allowed some of the racers and pit workers to come help clean it to speed up the process and it did. But there is not a track in the country that will let you run down an oily track. You should be happy that they care enough to even clean up instead of shutting the track or at best that lane for the night. I think the track did the best job that could be expected and looking out for the safety of the drivers as well. The track could charge by the hour for those clean ups like that one but chooses not too. And alot of the big tracks charge about 100.00 and hour for clean ups like that. If they did this maybe they would be able to afford some VERY EXPENSIVE EQUIPMENT to clean the track after this happens. But then they would not need it because most cars would prob would go elsewhere. - By RFazio 9/15/2009 at 07:19:34 PM

- RFZAIO THANKS FOR PUTTING ON THE TRUCK RACE NO MATTER WHAT ANYONE SAY'S THE TRUCK RACE WAS FUN AND THE WEATHER DID HOLD UP SOME TRUCKS COMING. THAT HAPPENS SOME TIMES . I FOR ONE HAD A GOOD TIME AND ONLY MADE 2 PASSES DO TO SHIFTER PROBLEMS. DON'T GIVE UP ON TRUCK RACES. HECK MAYBE THEY CAN COME UP WITH A TRUCK CLASS . - By BLACK S-10 CHRIS WOODS 9/13/2009 at 02:52:21 PM
Sound like an idea Chris if we could get some other tracks to follow in suit we could all travel to each others track and race. This would take alot of work and thought before it would ever happen though. And we will do something for the trucks at a later date the first one was fun. But we may have to race the cars first to get a little respect. Anyway thanks for the backing. - By Rfazio 9/13/2009 at 04:14:25 PM
SORRY ABOUT THE SPELLING OF YOUR NAME. HOPE TO MEET YOU AT A RACE SOON. I THINK THE CARS REALLY DO RESPECT TRUCKS JUST SHOCKED AT WHAT SOME TRUCKS CAN RUN. LOL. - By CW BLACK S-10 9/13/2009 at 05:33:31 PM
Not worried about the spelling I spell more words wrong than most people. I look foward to meeting you as well Chris. We like racing whether we are running cars or trucks so bring on all of em. We are looking foward to next season so we can make a showing for our team. We are also looking forward to the Texas vs. Louisiana shoot out our next scheduled race at the track for our team. Hopefully Fred will get all of us involved like he did last time so that we all feel like we contributed to our cause. I think the Louisiana flag ought to be on top anyway because I am kinda partial to blue. lol - By RFazio 9/13/2009 at 06:43:04 PM

- When are the next Index races at the Dale. Wish there would be more index racing maybe once a month does anyone like indexes thant much around here? - By Rfazio 9/12/2009 at 02:34:19 PM
Mr. Fazio....first let me say thanks for putting on the TRUCK race, we did have a good time and as it turns out we could have accomplished the same thing in the first round as putting it on the trailer after our second qualifying pass. We enjoyed the truck only format because we have a truck naturally.... but it also was a chance to have an opportunity to run against others that we might not get to in an index race. Heck we run indexes, we run brackets, we run test and tunes, we run at Tony and Jody's events....Do we win...yeah sometimes. do we lose....yeah sometimes..... we just like the opportunity to come out and make passes in the Ranger and hang out with friends at the track. Mr. Fazio if you choose to put on another truck only event (or whatever venue) we will do our best to come and support (or DONATE should I say) to the cause. - By Purgahn- Roughcut Racing 9/16/2009 at 10:26:59 PM

Instead of putting up that kind of money for just a truck race why not a box/no box Chevy v/s Ford Mopar race? This has worked well for several other tracks across the country and usually gets good car counts. Unless those trucks are scared of the cars? - By We can all play this way. 9/12/2009 at 07:14:11 PM
As far as the Trucks being afraid to race cars if there ever was a truck vs car race the finals would be all trucks anyway lol!!!!!!! - By Rfazio 9/12/2009 at 09:38:27 PM
LOL, All the finals I watched this year were WOODS. WEST, PEARSON, STELLY, WOLLFORD, MORGAN, RHODES, STEWART, CLARK, MARTIN, DAY, LUMMIS, which are all CARS! LOL!!!! - By NO TRUCKS IN THAT LIST! 9/13/2009 at 10:18:59 AM
Yep your right and those are all great guys. And we look foward to racing against them next year. - By Rfazio 9/13/2009 at 10:23:10 AM
No one said anything about putting any money up for anything until after the first of the year. All the people that came to the truck races had a good time and we will put on some kind of race after the first of the year. But for what its worth if you wanna race then either put the money up for what you want the race to be or call some out. - By RFazio 9/12/2009 at 08:20:27 PM
You are the one who said something along the line of "give your suggestion or imput about your truck race", this was just a suggestion, and with a responce like this I can now understand why the low truck count. I wish you the best with future races and hope you dont get so insulted by suggestions in the future. With the kind of money you were putting up for a race and obviously willing to put up for another, you could have such a better turn out if you just listen to people who have done this before, racers and spectators. And yes if I could afford to put up the amount of money you are to put on a race then it would have been done a long time ago. Not all of us are as fortuante as you to have that opprotunity. Again good luck and wish you the best. - By Good Luck! 9/12/2009 at 09:38:45 PM
What all the bashing for? I don't understand this. I wanted a trucks only race and I got it. So it was a crappy turnout do to whatever reasons, Weather, people that were afraid to bring thier truck or they just don't like me or my team it doesn't matter to me in anyway. What doesmatter to me is it didn't cost the track alot of money to try something differant. I have heard at some of the other tracks that we visited that the trucks would like to see a trucks only division so I tried something differant It didn't work and I know it so quit whining. We will put onn another TYPE of race after the first of the year like I said on 9/7/09 further down the page. And as far as you S 10 Racer bring the ttruck you speak of to the track and I am sure someone would be glad to let you line up with em. Its EZ to type in what you would have done from a keyboard but actually doing it is something else!!!!!!!! - By Rfazio 9/13/2009 at 08:14:19 AM
I have been to the track to run brackets when we didn't even have the turn out we had with just trucks. I have run Saturday nights on a few occaisions when there was less than 10 CARS AND TRUCKS in the race. Everyone complains that the purses are small the track doesn't have this or that to make things operate smoothly on and on. All I am trying to do is help the Little Track in the Woods with some other options. I listen and read what everyone says and learn from it(most times) ! As anyone who knows I haven't been racing but for 6 months and don't know a Hell of alot about it but what I think matters is that I call Evadale my home track and I would like to see MORE CARS AND TRUCKS come out so I am going to everting thing I can to help it grow sorry if I step on a few toes while helping. I apoligize to anyone who's feeling were hurt because ididn't want this to turn out this way. - By Rfazio 9/13/2009 at 08:39:27 AM

I thought the truck races went well considering the weather we had to deal with. track guys did a great job! That was your own choice not to come out and race and have fun, and fun i know we personally did. We watched as a young 17 yr old lady gave the guys a good run for the money!! We are proud of her for having the guts to get out there and run with them even though she KNEW she was out motored by far but hung in there!!! Thanks Rfazio for givng her the encouragement to go up against the guys!!! - By MILLER 9/14/2009 at 10:48:37 PM
Don't let the negative shyt talkers get you down. It don't matter what you do, somebody is going to get on here and bytch with out leaving a name. Tony and I have been going through this same thing for 7 or 8 years now. And after every one of those races, somebody wasn't happy for one reason or another. Keep on having fun and don't let the no-namers get you down. - By JODY 9/13/2009 at 09:07:37 AM
Thanks Jody, I know what you mean. I just want to go race and have fun like everyone else. Hey by the way I really like that new car you have there I can imagines what you have planned to do with this new project of yours. Just wished I could have found something of that caliber before I bought the truck. Don't get me wrong I love my truck but that is one fine car. - By Rfazio 9/13/2009 at 10:29:57 AM
It wasnt a bashing or being negative. It was a suggestion which he asked for, maybe not in this thread but it was asked for. He was wished the best of luck, did both of you miss that? No feelings were hurt. Dont turn it around! - By AGAIN GOOD LUCK WITH FUTURE RACES! 9/13/2009 at 10:14:58 AM
No disrespect ment here either. Just wanted him to know that no matter what he does, there will be somebody with something to complain about. We (GTR) have put on many races with every kind of genre` of drag racing style there is and somebody has always complained. And I will tell you straight up.. the race we put on that got the biggest complaints was the bracket race. The race with the lest complaints was the Outlaw 10.5W, True 10.5 race we put on. But none the less, there were complaints. Keep at it!! Tony and I have had to cut back on promoting races a little so we could finish a little project that will be coming to Evadale soon! And thanks for the compliment on the Camaro! It was a deal I could not pass up on. Heck, I wasn't looking to buy a car at all but that thing was just too good to walk away from. I even waited till the next day to make sure it was the right choice. BIG SMILE!!! :) - By JODY 9/13/2009 at 01:39:37 PM

- For all the Gals and Guys that went out and helped clean the track last Saturday THANK YOU. You see we probably would not have got to race that night had they not helped. The track has to be done by a certain time each night . So if we have a major spill that means they need major help cleaning the mess up. It's slows everything to a stop when oildowns happen and nobody plans for this to happen but it does and it happens to everyone sooner or later if they race long enough. So be kind enough to at least offer to help clean it up so that the other racers can finish their night racing and not sitting in line. This message is not intended for no one racer but to all racers that love to run Evadale and call it home. We can make this a much better track just with a little manpower and strong backs. Thank y'all for listening and I'll be out at the next oil down if I'm at the track. - By Don't like oils or Waiting in long lines 9/10/2009 at 09:56:02 PM
Something else that might help is engine diapers or catch pan bolted to the underside of the motor. sure would save alot of downtime and oil downs from taking so much time to clean up.. Just my opinion. - By local reporter 9/11/2009 at 03:46:45 PM
You are correct, that is a great idea except for one minor detail. Unless you have a chassis car or a dragster these devices are nearly impossible to put on a stock frame rail car or truck with chassis headers. The device becomes more of a fire hazzard then anything. Catch pans in most cases wont work on a stock frame rail car because usually the oil pan and headers hangs lower than the frame rails. Oil downs are a part of racing and yes some can be prevented by those who choose to run it even if it is leaking but parts fail and race cars blow up. Every diaper, catch pan, and the most expensive pieces wont prevent this from happening eventually. - By Have tried to install both with no luck? 9/11/2009 at 04:25:51 PM

If you don't believe me, just look how many car's at the track have a Twisted Custom's paint job...... - By K.Becker 9/11/2009 at 03:21:31 PM
