Our child has lied to the police and Social Services saying we beat her. She has done this before when she doesn't get her way. No one believes her except Social Services. No charges have been filed against us yet we, the parents, must take parenting classes, and numerous counseling sessions and now we find that we are being put on a severe child abuse registry. All this is happening because of what a child said, not even asking our side. Is this legal? What can we do to protect ourselves against SS. who find it easier to convict on the word of a child than to investigate the truth. Can we sue SS for violating our rights?
