The term "Queen of England" Peter was intended not to offend or demean anyone South of the Border but probably a saying used many times in Ireland. Whatever your views you are entitled to them and you know a lot about history and things but it is better to be cautious not to play the old game that some Scots prefer is that any wee bit nationalistic talk is taken as Anti-English or xenophobic in general!
Also important we are Socialists NOT fascists and I am sure you appreciate promote tolerance amonst our Brothers and Sisters Internationaly on this planet. At least you appear a bit more tolerant of all peoples and content with what you stand for in Scotland unlike those who choose to hate other countries or peoples and thereby can never truly be trusted to love their own. I am a Socialist Republican very proud of it and YES I am not a subject of Betty Windsors or otherwise I see myself Scottish citizen (and UK citizen only for legal reasons by UKPS for passports until Independence) but not British thanks very much. Brits need also to know I am tolerant of Scots or English who see themselves as Brits but I do resent some of the British Scots or Brit English you often refer to imposing their Brit Nationalism on me often very vigorously in their attitude or behaviour!!!
