Yes muddled Peter? war about oil and U.S. influence in Middle East that what war in Iraq was about to suit the Imperialist designs of Bush and Blair nothing else! What about Rwanda and thousands murdered in that region of Africa in the past. Ah but no oil in that part of Africa for U.S. or Brit Imperialism interests or any interest to UN to stop the genocide in Rwanda so world stood idly by!
The only just or legitimate wars are those that fight against occupation or invasions like our fathers or mothers did against the threat from Hitler to their credit! Yes Saddam was a tyrant but so are many in the world and the intentions of the U.S. and Britain in Iraq are and were not honourable but rather dubious!
I must make it clear that there is no intention to rubbish what serving Scots soldiers who loose their lives have tried to do (from this quarter or from Socialists at large) the sacrifice of Scots should not be in vain for Imperialist wars. The Brit government and MOD are pathetic simply unable to be trusted to properly support and equip young Scottish troops in conflict!
It time to stand up for Scotland by condeming unjust wars and supporting the need for a Scottish Republic where we can have an army to defend the motherland and help the civilian population during times of natural disasters e.g. floods etc, and not for Imperialist wars to serve the interests of HM queenie or her corrupt government.
Occupation will not work Peter you cannot impose democracy on other peoples or lands and Iraq like Vietnam has proved this to be true. Freedom can only come from within with support from others where necessary not by occupation and puppet government from U.S. to serve their interests!
Socialist and Republican reason will surely prevail and the Celtic phoenix will rise from the ashes and reclaim our Celtic lands from foreign domination or the use of our young people as cannon fodder in dirty messy wars to suit Imperialist interests! Replies:
