During the day, sentries guard the sleeping. When the sky is dark and the moon dances with the stars, this is when the real fun begins. Munashii Gekko's forest is the only haunt where you can find your local misfits all in one place. A land of the forbidden and forgotten, a place that is riddled with dangers of a whole different kind. The wolves here have long misplaced their rightful minds, and now live like creatures damned to prowl and lurk through the night. It's easy to lose yourself here, sanity was sure to fade away and wither; there was never anything normal about this nefarious nest. The silent threats that whispered in the breeze were enough to deter even the largest of demons around. It was not strength nor wit that ensured your survival here with Eric, and challengers would be torn down with a morose lethality - there was nothing left in his cold blue eyes that promised mercy to anyone who dared to overstep their worth. So, would you give up the sun for the moon and stars? Do you have enough vigor to become a well regarded sentry? - Put on a game face to step up and pass the sepia king's test or turn and leave before he catches your scent. You never know who wants to snack on your delicious blood in this forest.

A warning sign
I missed the good part, then I realized
I started looking and the bubble burst
I started looking for excuses
Come on in
I've got to tell you what a state I'm in
I've got to tell you in my loudest tones
That I started looking for a warning sign

”I am sure they are fine. They could not have faired worse than you.” The words came as a jolting shock, but Takara belatedly realized that they were fairly accurate. With a broad grin, she gave a nod of acknowledgement, pawing the ground as she spoke. “I suppose that’s accurate enough.” A pause, to consider the words concerning the others. “Good enough for me, I suppose. No news can be good news.” Her gaze was askance at Silence, noticing he seemed embarrassed by his new title.
“You honour me too much.” It had just reached her ears, despite the fact that these words had been spoken before Hope’s. Quite a stretch of time had passed since he had said those words, but Takara brought them up anyway.
“There is no such thing, Silence. You are deserving—which you know.” Her gaze was soulful and full of meaning. It would seem she had grown rather attached to him, and after the battle, she was quite fond of him.

When the truth is
I miss you
Yeah the truth is
That I miss you so…

Atae barked in agreement, tail wagging playfully. “You’ve been here longer than any of us…you know the pack like the back of your paw.” She broke off suddenly as her stomach grumbled in annoyance, and she laughed softly, golden eyes seeking her mother’s hazel ones. “Mother, I’m hungry.”
Takara nodded sagely. “We all are, and we will depart for the hunt soon. But first,” she smiled and looked towards Faith and Damien as she heard Hope greet them, “I have one more thing to do first.” She looked from one wolf to the other, smiling. “You two have become mates, have you not?” Their affection and stances were evident enough. “Congratulations to you both. I am pleased to see you have remained despite my absence. Both of you have been loyal to the pack, and have worked hard to make sure it was maintained as best as possible without an Alpha here to guide it. As a show of gratitude, I appoint you both as Epsilons. You have earned it.”

A warning sign
It came back to haunt me, and I realized
That you were an island and I passed you by
When you were an island to discover
Come on in
I've got to tell you what a state I'm in
I've got to tell you in my loudest tones
That I started looking for a warning sign

With that, Takara motioned to Hope and Silence. “Perhaps we should visit Kaive later to see how she and the little one are faring.” It was obvious Takara was still worried about Felicia, the little pup who had been fried nearly to death by the horrible beast. “But for now, I would be grateful if you would accompany us to hunt. I know it has been awhile since anyone has had nourishment.” She smiled and beckoned to Faith and Damien as well, rising from her sitting position as Atae bounded around the pack lands, all too eager to depart.

Takara was so elated at the loyal pack members that had remained, that she felt willing to take on any prey the plateau had to offer.

When the truth is
I miss you
Yeah the truth is
I miss you so
And I'm tired
I should not have let you go

So I crawl back into your open arms
Yes I crawl back into your open arms
And I crawl back into your open arms
Yes I crawl back into your open arms…
