Aloha Mr. Lance,
Sorry if your name isn't Mr. Lance but since *you* choose to use only that single name I must assume that is your surname or that you are afraid to identify yourself (here). I, as anyone here (or anywhere) can see do not suffer from that malady or fear.
How did Pauahi's will become *your* will if I might be so bold to ask? Or are we to believe that you and Pauahi are one and the same person?
I'm afraid it is not I who seeks to dodge the issues here, but you. Where did you get the idea that I would go so far as to believe that you might actually believe that Heyerdahl or Fuchs are the foremost authorities on post Europeon\European-American contact Havaiian history? Unless you are seeking the sympathy of the other message board members here to get them to believe that you are being unfairly challenged and confronted by me. Never forget that it was your initial post to my first message post here where you in fact willfully and of your own free will chose to question my education and my knowledge of post European contact Havaiian history. I can play that game Mr. Lance. Don't start complaining now when you find you've been wiped off the board. You should have considered that possibility before you chose to question my educational credentials here. Compared to what I know about *true* Havaiian history the amount of *true* Havaiian history you've shown to be in possesion of up to this point in our little discussion here would fit quite easily in a small jar of babyfood. Like a parrot all you seem to be capable of is repeating what you've read and since just about all of it was written by non-Havaiians it's really no suprise that you apparently believe that you actually know what you're writing about when it comes to true Native Havaiian history.
Sorry Mr. Lance, I've read much of that material already and if I care to re-read any of it I will do so in its original form by its original writers and have no need to have you regurgitate it here for me.
Come back when you have something that you have to share that it based on your own mind\work. Otherwise I, and anyone else here with good sense, will go to our local library and get your so-called facts firsthand from the original authors. Peace, Justice & Love.
