Timber Wolves do not occur as far south as Carden Alvar in fact not south of Algonquin Park. The Eastern Wolf occurs in Algonquin and south of that area almost down to Carden with a few strays in winter in that area. Most animals are the Eastern Coyote or Brush Wolf which is larger than the original Western Coyote and tends to be a hybrid between the coyote and Eastern Wolf. Some of these animals can be quite large. They also hybridize with dogs to produce Coydogs but most like this animal are Eastern Coyotes.
