Birds were not my main focus today although I did see a snipe on the same post it seems to use every time I am there. Photographed a Grasshopper Sparrow and was surprised to see the obvious yellow feathers on the forewing.
Butterflies were thick at the few puddles. I recorded 11 species and there were probably more as I am a beginner at best. Canadian Tiger Swallowtail, Cabbage White, Azure(sp?), Northern Crescent, Viceroy, Monarch, Eastern Comma, Northern pearly Eye, White Admiral, European Skipper(in clouds of hundreds), Hobomok Skipper.
The Vipers Bugloss is in full bloom and makes a lovely blue carpet over some of the fields. Replies: There have been no replies.
