Our son, Jake was diagnosed and treated succesfully with immunoglobulins just over 3 years ago. The only physical side affects are that he is occasionally short of breath. We have been referred back to the paediatrician over this. I would emphasise it is minor and may not be caused by Kawasaki.
However, he also suffers from ADD (attention deficiency disorder) and this seemed to start just after his illness. Again we are not sure whether this is a coincidence or not and if not whether it was caused by the disease or treatment with blood products. Has anyone else experienced anything like this we would like to hear from you if so.
