No yellow rails calling at Sedge Wren Marsh this year on the night of April 22nd but Americna Woodcocks displaying, Wilson's Snipes winnowing, wolves calling, coyotes yipping and many deer on the alvar in the dusk. Frog calls include Chorus, Spring Peepers, Leopard and Wood Frogs. Upland Sandpipers, Savannah Sparrows, Field Sparrows, Brown Thrashers, and Virginia Rails have returned from the south.
