Hello songwriters of Maine, My name is Haakon Kallweit and I want to inform you all of a unique and fun opportunity for all original artists.It's called the Maine Songrwiters Showdown, and It's exactly that! We put names in a hat and draw them out to see who competes against who.We've got cash and prizes for the finals and all competitors will be shown on the Public Television prodution, The Maine Songwriters Showdown.The first competition is on May6th at the new Bleachers pub on Preble St.Sign up is at 4ocklock. You must SHOW UP TO SIGN UP.Songwriters are required to perform original songs, with only one musical insrument as support. The catagories of judging are content, style, and performance.
