There is a story told to the grieving about a place known as the Rainbow Bridge. It is said that when some one dies, they are taken to a beautiful place. It is all gently sloping hills and sunny days. It is said that across this bridge, they wait for those they left behind. They are restored to their whole selves, and return to the happiest stages of their life.
What they don't say is we wait and we wait. See, unlike in the fairytales, our loved ones still have a whole life to live. We don't just blink and they're with us again. It's tough. You move on. If it were living, we'd call it life, but it's not life. You do the best you can while you wait. Wait for heaven, or hell, or reincarnation. Or whatever it is your religion says is coming after you bite the bullet.
We're stuck in this place called Limbo. It's maddening, rip your hair out frustration. It's beautiful. It's hard. It's lonely. It's overcrowded. It's just what happens after death. You'll all wind up here eventually.
