Genre: Medieval-Fantasy

Creator: Mac

Level: Intermediate-Advanced

Opened: July 12, 2007

Version One: Fate

__________

Lasting peace is an illusion, but even the illusion is something to savor. In the world of Atlaiah, the illusion of peace has lasted for years. The illusion however, may soon fade. Conflicts are high as three very different kingdoms, along with a mythical race of seemingly human creatures, attempt to tolerate each other. Fate does not look kindly upon Atlaiah.

The Kingdom of Indanor may be the only kingdom that does not allow slavery, but because humans are imperfect, the seemingly faultless kingdom has a dark side. The prejudice against the Gypsy population runs deep, and hatred is always the precursor for tragedy.

The Kingdom of Saromia is surrounded by harsh deserts, suitable for the ruthless and male dominated society. Slavery is on the rise, and the kingdom of Saromia is behind it. Obviously Saromia is not on friendly terms with the Kingdom of Indanor. But are they the only ones at fault for producing conflict?

The Kingdom of Eastianova appears to be neutral, but they too have their own sinister secrets. In a kingdom that prides itself on celebration, the constant festivities shroud unfortunate truths. The Emperor has banned magic in hopes of maintaining as much power for the Royal Family as possible. For those born with talent, their future is dark.

And then there are the mystical Fae, a humanoid race that is as ancient as the world of Atlaiah itself. They avoid contact with the human world, but soon they may be forced to interact with those that they fear and despise.

Where will fate take you? Or is fate even the force that spells disaster for the future? Perhaps it is choice rather than chance that controls the outcome of an individual’s life, as well as the lives of others.

Atlaiah is a new, medieval-fantasy RPG that values creativity and the diversity of different opinions. Other than the mentioned background information, there are no major plots—yet. It will all be up to the future players of Atlaiah to set the direction for the RPG. Although there are positions that are up for audition, all characters will be considered important. All that is missing now is you. Are you ready for an experience unlike any other?
