To all Retirees,
As you know,we monitor all Pension Board Meetings. On August 9 I posted a thread about an objection filed by Atty. Loper regarding my opinion that FSS 112.61 does not and should not prevent the payment of our 13th. Checks.
Atty. Loper asked that I have his letter to me posted on our web site. I called Atty. Loper, had a long talk with him. I explained that he could post his letter on our site by using his name and email address. I also advised that I would ask our Webmaster to post his letter as requested. After the Webmaster returned from vacation, he did post the letter under "HOT TOPICS." Now the clincher. At last Thursdays Pension Meeting a copy of the letter sent to me by Atty. Loper
was hand delivered to Cindy Miller, during the pension meeting. The copy was handed over by none other than Dennis Ribaya. Lets stop and look at this. A letter from Atty. Loper, addressed and sent to me by Certified Mail, wound up in the hands of Ribaya. I think I know how this happened but I will let you decide what happened for yourself. This little tid bit of information is provided for all to consider. Things are getting pretty personal when this kind of an error happens. This action, in my opinion, should not surprise me since I know the source. My memory serves me well and this action will stick in the proper phylum. Every dog has his day, I will have mine. Many times, people dodge and slip by, for long periods of time. Sooner or later, when these people have to pay up, most everyone is not surprised. A line in the sand has been drawn.
