Quests

As soon as one does enter, a magical feeling does envelop them. The wind rustles gently, bringing the quiet whicker of a rare unicorn. Would she appear to you, bringing the mighty mythic fairy, or will you be forced to bask in the shadows?

Quests will be announced by a faerie on the board (and sometimes, but not always, on the OOC board). Please do not ask for a quest.

The faerie responsible for your quest will tell you whether or not any traits/defects you earn will be 'genetic' (allowed to be included in breeding posts).

she just can't sustain the pressure where it's placed

Ebie did not know his call had been meant for others as well as her. It calms her in a strange way, to know that she was not the only one drawn to this place. The place - she has not idea where the voice has led her. And he smiles at her, yet Ebie does not return the smile. There is a flicker of a wince - the smallest flash of a grimace. The others do nothing to comfort her, but how could strangers possibly ease the mind of one so brutally scarred? Brutal - she does not even know the meaning of such a word. No, she does not consider herself tainted.

The strangers are nothing more than shadows to her - ghosts against the grayscale sky, figments of dreams long since dreamt. And he, the one who called her, was another shadow to the child. Except - except he is vivid. She can see him clearly, and although frightened, she no longer regrets her decision. She had a purpose - some vague, blurry purpose - for coming. He had led her there for a reason - she stood there for a reason.

She closes her eyes as he turns his attention to her, not wanting to see the widening smile. Shadows were not meant to smile - Ebie was not meant to watch. She hears the claw-hoof touch ground - feels the earth beginning to shift. Reluctantly, hesitantly she opens her eyes. The earth had opened; she sees the paths. For one fleeting moment she looks to the beast-stallion, skin crawling. Silently she moves, picking her way past the strangers and he who had called them. She follows the first path - the path leading to the gate of jade. She hasn’t a reason for choosing this path, (perhaps it seemed most inviting to the child). She walks with those trembling legs, heart fluttering.
