Birds Sighted Today Posted on November 21, 2007 at 02:43:01 AM by Eleanor Kee Wellman
Total of five birds species seen today!
Crows and ravens gathering around the skin and a few bits of deer left by a hunter, a small number of Common Redpolls in a couple of places along Wylie Rd., a total of five Pine Grosbeaks in two places on Wylie and about thirty-five Bohemian Waxwings on Alvar Rd.
The waxwings were the reason for my visit as Norm Murr posted seeing them on the weekend. It took me a couple of hours to find them. They spent most of their time in trees with too many small branches but did come down for quick drinks in puddles.
Bob has offered to post some pictures for me. Replies: There have been no replies.
