Sarah Jo and All,
Your year of retirement is what determines what class you are in. I retired in 1984 and am in Class #6.
So using the Class List that the Webmaster posted, you can detrmine the percentage of your cost of living adjustment for the coming year. Hope this clears this matter up for all those who wondered how it was done.
