Unfortunately I’m unable to provide for you any further information on Amund’s family subsequent to their arrival in NY 1852; never the less I notice that it seems you might miss Amund’s as well as Pernille’s exact birthdates. So allow me to elucidate these events as follows: Amund was born 1808 at the Haug farm in eastern Gran, baptized January 24th ; being son of Peder Abrahamsen and his wife Anne Torgrimsdtr. Pernille was born 1810 at the Skålerud tenant farm appurtenant to Teiterud, baptized February 4th ; daughter of Engebrecht Michelsen and wife Berthe Evensdtr.
As you might be aware of, this couple had two more children born in Norway; namely Anders b. at Haug April 22nd 1845 – dead at Haugseiet on March 19th 1851. Furthermore Anne, b. at Haug December 15th 1836, whose later destiny I’m unsure of. Amund and Pernille were married on June 4th 1836; living respectively at Haugseiet in Gran and Høgkorset in Brandbu.
