But when she turned, it was with a smile and friendly greeting. The dragon remained still for a moment, in case this was all a facade, but he found the dragon's countenance rather friendly, and soon relaxed visibly. There was a rustle of scales as Umbriel sat on his hanches, curling his own spiked tail around his dark talons and flicking the point gently over the tower's floor.
"Hello...," he said softly, a sheepish smile crossing his grey muzzle. "It's nice to meet you, Isabella." He would have pronounced her entire name, but his memory and pronunciation skills weren't great enough to achieve the task. Still, he hoped she would find his self-nick naming her impolite or offensive, as much older creatures would. "My name is Umbriel."
His gaze shifted to the light outside of the window, and the grounds that loomed distantly underneath the sun. "Do you come here often?"
