During the day, sentries guard the sleeping. When the sky is dark and the moon dances with the stars, this is when the real fun begins. Munashii Gekko's forest is the only haunt where you can find your local misfits all in one place. A land of the forbidden and forgotten, a place that is riddled with dangers of a whole different kind. The wolves here have long misplaced their rightful minds, and now live like creatures damned to prowl and lurk through the night. It's easy to lose yourself here, sanity was sure to fade away and wither; there was never anything normal about this nefarious nest. The silent threats that whispered in the breeze were enough to deter even the largest of demons around. It was not strength nor wit that ensured your survival here with Eric, and challengers would be torn down with a morose lethality - there was nothing left in his cold blue eyes that promised mercy to anyone who dared to overstep their worth. So, would you give up the sun for the moon and stars? Do you have enough vigor to become a well regarded sentry? - Put on a game face to step up and pass the sepia king's test or turn and leave before he catches your scent. You never know who wants to snack on your delicious blood in this forest.

Hope lay in lazy silence as her brother moved off to find the male who’s scent had wafted close to them. She did not understand why her brother felt the need to, as most wolves who came near disappeared within the day. None lingered when there was no answer, and that was probably the best. It was a while later when her brother didn’t return that Hope finally rolled onto her stomach and gave a light huff. Perhaps she should’ve gone with him, it was certainly better than laying alone.

Still, she didn’t quite trust herself around wolves along the borders. Silence at least had position to act superior, she would merely place herself above the creatures and probably get no respect because she did not hold a high rank. Once Alpha, always Alpha perhaps. Still, the time spent in Takara’s pack had lessened the dominant urge quite a bit.

Pushing herself to her paws, Hope gave a light stretch and started off where her brother had disappeared. She had not meant to give him such a cold answer, though she knew he probably understood. It was a different scent that caught her attention though as she drew closer to the border. It drew her tail up, a hint of confusion as it mixed with another. Yet to a wolf’s nose it was easy to pick out two different scents, one male and one female.

For a moment Hope paused, wondering if she was dreaming. Then quite quickly changed direction and started off towards the area the smell was coming from. Her tail was no longer raised, but flowed behind her a little lower than straight out. She was still a pack wolf, and that gave her some position. Only as she came upon the area, the scent of the male was strong and yet not strong enough to say he stood there long.

There was however, the form of a black wolf lying in the grass. Hope stopped a short distance from her, blue gaze hardening slightly. She did not pull up into the dominant position, but pulled her neck in just a bit, form flowing into a more threatening one. She had been drawn out for this? Perhaps she was going crazy, the wolf who had caught her attention was gone and probably just a figment of her imagination. Although she could still smell him, it was probably not him at all.

“We are not looking for pack members, nor are we going to form any alliance with a fellow pack. Pick up and leave.”

So she was more straightforward than her brother was. Direct and to the point had always been her way of living.
