During the day, sentries guard the sleeping. When the sky is dark and the moon dances with the stars, this is when the real fun begins. Munashii Gekko's forest is the only haunt where you can find your local misfits all in one place. A land of the forbidden and forgotten, a place that is riddled with dangers of a whole different kind. The wolves here have long misplaced their rightful minds, and now live like creatures damned to prowl and lurk through the night. It's easy to lose yourself here, sanity was sure to fade away and wither; there was never anything normal about this nefarious nest. The silent threats that whispered in the breeze were enough to deter even the largest of demons around. It was not strength nor wit that ensured your survival here with Eric, and challengers would be torn down with a morose lethality - there was nothing left in his cold blue eyes that promised mercy to anyone who dared to overstep their worth. So, would you give up the sun for the moon and stars? Do you have enough vigor to become a well regarded sentry? - Put on a game face to step up and pass the sepia king's test or turn and leave before he catches your scent. You never know who wants to snack on your delicious blood in this forest.

It was not long before the rustling of the foliage spoke of another's approach as the black fea lay upon the boarder of the pack. Atra's ears pressed against her head as the wolfess's white form stepped from the trees, stopping a little ways from where she lay. She watched as the fea took on the slightest signs of aggression, it was clear that she was at least somewhat annoyed about something. Of course Atra had no idea of what it was, but she had a terrible feeling that it was caused by her presence at the pack borders.

The other's words were short and to the point, for the best in most situations, Atra supposed. But she was not here for any of those reasons, she was here simply to ask for help. "My apologies for disturbing you from whatever you were previously doing. Let me say now that I mean no disrespect or offense in my saying that I am here for none of those reasons. I am a wolf of Cold Summers, and as loyal as loyal can be, so I seek no entrance into the pack rankings. I was not sent here for an alliance, simply to seek help for a wounded pack mate. I was told by-" She stopped short as her tongue had been about to spill Waptumewi's name. She closed her mouth promptly, taking a deep breath before starting that one again.

"I was told I could find a wolf under the title of "Hope" here, and that she may be of some assistance. Was I told correctly?" She had not risen from her position, not wanting to seem dominant in the least. Her ears were still pressed against her head, and her tail tucked a little as her gaze was averted respectfully to the wolf in front of her. She hoped that she was not turned away so soon, without even having met Hope.

And still, her heart beat quickly in her chest.
