During the day, sentries guard the sleeping. When the sky is dark and the moon dances with the stars, this is when the real fun begins. Munashii Gekko's forest is the only haunt where you can find your local misfits all in one place. A land of the forbidden and forgotten, a place that is riddled with dangers of a whole different kind. The wolves here have long misplaced their rightful minds, and now live like creatures damned to prowl and lurk through the night. It's easy to lose yourself here, sanity was sure to fade away and wither; there was never anything normal about this nefarious nest. The silent threats that whispered in the breeze were enough to deter even the largest of demons around. It was not strength nor wit that ensured your survival here with Eric, and challengers would be torn down with a morose lethality - there was nothing left in his cold blue eyes that promised mercy to anyone who dared to overstep their worth. So, would you give up the sun for the moon and stars? Do you have enough vigor to become a well regarded sentry? - Put on a game face to step up and pass the sepia king's test or turn and leave before he catches your scent. You never know who wants to snack on your delicious blood in this forest.

The wolf started speaking, and Hope almost growled at her to get to the point. The words I am a wolf of Cold Summers caught her attention though, and she paused, listening more closely to what the female was speaking. Had Chijiresusu gone back home then? Yet the wolf said nothing of the leader, only something about a wounded pack mate. She wouldn’t have been sent by Chiji, unless Rayken had gone back and said something about one of his mother’s friends. But Hope had not spent a lot of time with the former alpha of Cold Summers, so even that may not have made a lot of sense.

She did catch the pause of ‘I was told by…’ and Hope turned her gaze slowly away from the wolf into the distance.

“Told correctly by whom?”

But she had a feeling she already knew, and if it was true it was about an injury it would’ve had to be one of those she had fought with in the past. Nobody else would’ve sent a wolf to find her, nobody else would know. Blossom Forest had long since forgotten the history which it was founded on, and it seemed happy to keep it that way. Hope didn’t care much. Not anymore.

“An injury can heal with time, to find your ‘Hope’ here is hardly a worthwhile endeavor. You could ask Rayken or Chiji of that…unless Cold Summers has also found itself forgetting the founders.”

She gave a light snort, but no longer stood in the threatening manner. She did stand high enough though to make sure she looked down at the other female. Blue eyes carefully watching for the body language to change.

There was no trust from her, nor was there any immediate sort of lenience to help the wolfess and her packmate. Although it seemed she was waiting for some sort of correct response to her own words to help her make the decision of whether to chase the female off once and for all, or to go with her.
