2004-13th. CHECK CLARIFICATION
IP: 64.12.117.196

To all Retirees,
A serious question has come to our attention. The question is about who gets the entire 13th. Check and who get half of the 13th. Check. We are talking about SURVIVING SPOUSES. Here is the answer.

If a fund member was retired or in DROP, on or before 10/1/2003, they will be eligible for the full $5,700.00 and the upcoming interest payment check. Here is the latchpin. Our research has shown that there are approximately 90 members of the fund who have passed away since the effective date of 10/1/2003. Most of those 90 members have surviving spouses. In this case, those 90 members are entitled to the full 13th. Check. As their surviving spouses, each one of you will receive your deceased mates' full check. If you are a surviving spouse whose mate passed away prior to 10/1/2003, you will receive a check of $2,850.00. I hope this will clear up the question for our surviving spouses as to who gets a full 13th. Check and who will get half of the check.

Our surviving spouses are a very special group to us and we always keep your interests in mind. You will never be left out of any benefit that you are entitled to. We will make sure of that. If you think you didn't get your proper amount, you can call me. I'll check to make sure you did/do get the right amount. My phone is: (813) 264-7516. I hope this clears up any questions that you may have had about this issue.
