To all Retirees,
There are a few things that are difficult for Retirees to address. That doesn't mean that we won't try. It is very hard when we have no real input with the powers to be. We are working on that and are doing better. In regards to voting, for Offices and major issues facing the association, I fully agree that all members should have their say. In April and July, we will be accepting nominations for Pres., Secretary and Treasurer. We also will be accepting nominations for V.Pres on the Fire and Police sides. To change our process, we will also be submitting a change to the By-Laws as well, re voting. At the present time, it appears that the answer will be sending all a ballot, as part of the Quarterly Newsletter. This seems to be the best solution at this time. We will be discussing other possibly ways to get out the vote so that all can vote. I don't want anyone to feel left out when it comes to the business of our association. In my opinion, all should be able to vote. We will be posting more info after our Board Meeting on 3/11/08.
