One flew across the road (CKL 35) just south of the hamlet of Victoria Road yesterday. Grass Creek, which flows out of Mitchell Lake over a dam into a marsh, is open from the CKL 35 bridge south of VR along its length as it winds through the village and under bridges to the east, north, and west of town. Only one pair of Canada Geese so far, at the north bridge. Swans are often seen at the marsh once the water opens -- none seen yet.
