During the day, sentries guard the sleeping. When the sky is dark and the moon dances with the stars, this is when the real fun begins. Munashii Gekko's forest is the only haunt where you can find your local misfits all in one place. A land of the forbidden and forgotten, a place that is riddled with dangers of a whole different kind. The wolves here have long misplaced their rightful minds, and now live like creatures damned to prowl and lurk through the night. It's easy to lose yourself here, sanity was sure to fade away and wither; there was never anything normal about this nefarious nest. The silent threats that whispered in the breeze were enough to deter even the largest of demons around. It was not strength nor wit that ensured your survival here with Eric, and challengers would be torn down with a morose lethality - there was nothing left in his cold blue eyes that promised mercy to anyone who dared to overstep their worth. So, would you give up the sun for the moon and stars? Do you have enough vigor to become a well regarded sentry? - Put on a game face to step up and pass the sepia king's test or turn and leave before he catches your scent. You never know who wants to snack on your delicious blood in this forest.

Whether or not Atra was stirring things up that were better left alone she was unsure. She thought that perhaps it would have been better if she had just continued on her way, not stopping at this pack to ask questions that were not wanted. But this male had caught her attention unlike any other had. It wasn’t a romantic interest she had taken to him, just one of complete and total curiosity. She felt the need to know why it was that he was so timid of everyone and everything that he came in contact with. What had scared him so badly that it still reflected on his behavior? The question burned in her, and it pushed her to do things that probably weren’t the smartest. Like coming to this pack and asking such questions to the large male who had greeted her. The thought that it might have been these very wolves that had left the deep scars in him tickled at the back of her mind. She tried not to dwell on that, countering with another thought. If these wolves had ever done him harm, why would he have led her to them when she sought help for Black Winters? And why would Hope have come to help her if they really were horrible monsters? No, Atra did not think that these wolves had ever harmed Waptumewi, but had somehow been involved with him in the past. That’s what she wanted to know.

If you told her that Waptumewi had in his possession powers that could cause destruction and harm to others, she would probably laugh. Atra hadn’t the slightest inkling that the omega had any powers that even slightly resembled the ones that Hope seemed to possess. In her mind, he was much too submissive and paranoid to have such abilities. In her mind, with power came courage and pride, not sniveling submission. She was not a powerful wolf herself, which explained her nervous nature. Her brother was the powerful one, the one who walked with his head and tail high no matter where he went. He did not turn to submission when faced with a challenge, but charged straight at it. She had always thought that if she had power like that, then she wouldn’t hide with her tail between her legs ever again. She would stand tall like she had seen her brother do so many times. She wouldn’t take any crap from anybody. She would take advantage of her power, and never be pushed around again. But alas, unless some miracle descended upon and bestowed her with that kind of power, she was SOL. She hadn’t had the chance to practice being a strong wolf, as her brother had always pushed her down whenever she had even gained the slightest step up.

The male did not give her his name, which bothered her only slightly, as she really wasn’t here to talk to him, and he didn’t offer her any thought that he was going to give her the answers to her questions. His stance relaxed a bit when her own changed, as if to tell her that he was not going to chase her off. But his eyes were still cold and through them Atra still read a warning. This wolf was not here to play around and he was not thrilled with her coming here. He was a cold wolf to her, and the black fea imagined that he lived with a small, close group of wolves, perhaps it was just him and his sister. It definantly wouldn’t have surprised her, since this pack was the least active of those residing within Blossom Forest. It was clear to her that he did not like outsiders intruding his family’s peace. But sadly for him, Atra wasn’t going to give up easily, even when faced with his statements and actions after she stated her piece.

The glare he gave her definantly was enough to push her into the ground, keeping her frozen in that one spot with her tail and ears pressed firmly against her body. His words were cold and seemed a little resentful, definantly giving off the vibe that he wanted her to just turn and leave and to forget she ever wanted to know about certain things. What he said did stir up a bit of uneasiness within her, as it brought up some unknown monster that was better left alone. What the hell was so terrible that she was better off not asking about it? This question just deepened her need to know, even if she would regret asking later on. She was a wolf of knowledge, and the thought that there was something about Blossom Forest’s past that she did not know of that was big enough to be brushed under the carpet drove her crazy. She refused to live in ignorance like the rest of society. She would separate herself from them even if it cost her.

So she held her submissive position, tightened it even as Silence pulled into a completely dominant position. She submitted to his authority and would obey him while she was inside of the territory. After all, she was not here to bring up that kind of trouble. She really didn’t want to cause them any trouble at all, but she was beginning to think that it was way too late for that. His words welcomed her into the pack of Munashii Gekko, but it was not a warm one. His eyes held a warning within them that put her a bit on edge. They told her to be cautious; to watch her step, if you will. She watched quietly as he turned and picked up his kill and began trotting off. Careful glances were cast around her before she slowly rose, her body still low to the ground; as if ready to fall back against it should something come upon her. Her tail was curled lightly under her and her ears were pulled back. She stepped forward with much caution, and then quickly went after the male, disappearing into the stark forests of Munashii Gekko.
