The Valley

Between the Meadow and the Field is the third of Beqanna’s Common Grounds. A rolling valley is bisected by a broad and shallow river. The grass is thick and lush, and this is a good place for a stallion to live with his family if he does not yet have a herd land.

Cyle's gray body stands before her with playful smile on his lips. He watched as the mare's anger was quickly unleashed once his words had hit her and he continues to instigate her as a laugh slips from his body. Her leg flashes out towards him and he quickly dances away and then resumed his former position as if nothing had happened. Oh, she wasn't going to deter him that easily.

She gets in his face and he cooly stares down his muzzle back into her firey eyes without a word. He takes the words and curses she has for him, but does not speak. It is not till she turns her back on him and runs does his drop finally drop his head.

Yes, he was an instigator and starting problems was the kind of thing he enjoyed to do, but even Cyle, the bully he is, knows when he has gone too far. He also knows though, that he would much rather suffer the wraith of an angry one then one he has pushed too far.

A couple hours had passed since Cyle and Azlaza had gone at it. His mind had been replaying the fight over and over in his mind and he knew, without a doubt, that he had pushed the Arabic mare a little too far. That was his game, push and push until they didn't push anymore, but he wasn't the type to break and watching the mare turn her back on him and run off had done more to Cyle then her words and vulgarities could have ever done.

He walks slowly as his eyes roam the land in search of the Arabic mare that had left him standing on his own amongst the Valley. He finds her after a while of searching and with a carefulness to his steps that one would rarely ever see from the gray stallion, he approaches her. He comes aronud from her front so that she does not think he is sneaking up on her and stops a few feet away from her.

Sincerity slips through his cool features as he watches the mare. Her eyes are red and he knows that she had been crying. He doesn't know if it was for what he had forced upon her or if it was home-sickness...or maybe a combination of the two, but he stays quiet for a moment longer so that she has time to realize he is there and then he takes a few steps closer.

"Azlaza?" he says to her, his tones easy and non-threatening. It is all he says as he stands before her waiting to see if she will set her wraith upon him again or if she will respond.
