During the day, sentries guard the sleeping. When the sky is dark and the moon dances with the stars, this is when the real fun begins. Munashii Gekko's forest is the only haunt where you can find your local misfits all in one place. A land of the forbidden and forgotten, a place that is riddled with dangers of a whole different kind. The wolves here have long misplaced their rightful minds, and now live like creatures damned to prowl and lurk through the night. It's easy to lose yourself here, sanity was sure to fade away and wither; there was never anything normal about this nefarious nest. The silent threats that whispered in the breeze were enough to deter even the largest of demons around. It was not strength nor wit that ensured your survival here with Eric, and challengers would be torn down with a morose lethality - there was nothing left in his cold blue eyes that promised mercy to anyone who dared to overstep their worth. So, would you give up the sun for the moon and stars? Do you have enough vigor to become a well regarded sentry? - Put on a game face to step up and pass the sepia king's test or turn and leave before he catches your scent. You never know who wants to snack on your delicious blood in this forest.

A hard look was given to her as Hope answered her question, though she didn’t quite fully understand what she meant by “what was lost.” Well, what exactly was lost? The question now buzzed her mind as she watched Hope’s gaze turned to her brother and the pup. Atra wondered what she was thinking about. Perhaps memories, buried under years of experiences? Memories of old friends, old foes? Atra wondered, but felt it would be rude to out right ask what she was thinking. After all, the only place where one was truly able to be alone was in their mind, and it was not kind to intrude on another’s.

Her next words told her that Waptumewi was worried about something that didn’t need to be worried about anymore. The obvious question to that, in Atra’s mind at least, was what could be so terrifying that it still struck fear in the heart of a wolf even after it was gone? The thought sent shivers through her, but she still wanted to know. It was part of her home’s past (yes, she did view Blossom Forest as her home). She wanted to know what had happened here, what these lands had witnessed in the years before her time.

“But still… What was it? I don’t want to be an ignorant fool, running around like a foolish pup, not knowing what happened on the very land I stand on…”

Her voice was soft, and sincere. The only reason she had even come here was to find out the true history of the forest. What happened that shaped the face of Blossom Forest, to this very day? She knew that the peace that was taken for granted by the wolves of today was a luxury that older generations did not have. She didn’t want to be ignorant any more.

She wanted to know.
