I spoke with Carol Gates this morning and she said that Don had gone through about 7 hours of surgery on the 4th as scheduled. He did well and is in good spirits. He even made a joke about his appearance right now by writing that he looked like "Puttin on the Ritz" from Young Frankenstein. She said that she would continue to update us and they both appreciate our interest.
