Cadence watched her rippling reflection as she gazed down into the lagoon she was standing in. Even though the bitter autumn wind child her skin, the cold water of the lagoon was a comfort to her hooves. She was after all a child of Courant; water was a comfort, no matter how cold it was. Thoughts of being lead mare where swimming around her head. The responsibility that came with the power was honorable yet daunting all at once. Cadence took in a deep breath before she plunged her head into the water. She swiveled her head about before pulling her head out to breath once more. The icy water was refreshing to say the least. Bringing herself back to reality Cadence thought she better go see Lupus, to reassure him she was still here. Reluctantly pulling herself out of the lagoon she set of at a gentle trot round to the other side of the vast stretch of water, where the others most likely congregated. She thought it would be best for the new mares to be with Lupus on their own for a bit to get to know him. She flagged her tail out with pride; she was the first mare here, so in her mind that meant she was the one most likely to be crowned queen. Suddenly Cadence is spooked by the sound of a shrill scream ringing around the Lagoon, “Who dare breaks the silence of the lagoon?” She shouted back absolutely outraged. She gallops up to the two mares, looking from one to the other. The buckskin mare she had seen before, though not had the chance to converse with yet. As for the blood stained filly, she was new, and Cadence found her entrance rude and obnoxious. She glared at Circe with her ears laid flat against her skull, she hadn’t even talked to this mare but she already knew she didn’t like her one bit, simply from her behavior. However she soon pricked her ears forward and let a fake smile spread across her face, she was confident that she would be made lead mare, she was after all Lupus’ first. She turned her head to Aviatrix and let a genuine smile creep upon her lips, “Sorry I haven’t introduced myself sooner, and I’m Cadence.” She didn’t want to acknowledge that Circe was there but she supposed she must if she had to be ‘friendly’ with her for Lupus sake. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Water - Lvl. 1 Tennesee Walker/6yrs/17.1hh Mare of Twilight Lagoon
