Share your BEST and WORST festival experiences to WIN an IPOD!!
Ever shown up to your screening only to find your print has “disappeared?!”
Ever won a festival prize, but never received it?
Or heard about a festival that flies you first class and feeds you Beluga caviar only to discover the deadline passed a week ago?!
Or, on a more upbeat note, had a financier show up at your door with a sack full of hundreds for your $40 million socially conscious romantic comedy about the exploitation of ants in the 1700’s?
Whatever it may be... FILM FESTIVAL LOUNGE wants your STORY!
Film Festival Lounge (www.filmfestivallounge.com) is devoted to nurturing dialogue among filmmakers so we’re better informed when dishing out high submission fees and expenses to attend festivals. As filmmakers ourselves there have been festivals we wish we’d avoided if only we’d known the truth about them. Equally, there are many great festivals we never knew existed... until it was too late.
In order to inform filmmakers, as well as festivals seeking honest reactions to their event, Film Festival Lounge wants to know, from the mouths of filmmakers, how helpful a festival has been for your career, distribution, representation, networking, education, etc. We also want to know about other crucial things such as hospitality, accommodations, meals, even, gift bags!
In order to transform Film Festival Lounge into a valuable resource and pit of lively back and forth, we are offering a FREE IPOD to the individual who contributes the most interesting and helpful posting about a festival experience; whether a positive or negative tale, or some combination of the two.
We encourage use of an anonymous username (use your real email address; only the administrators will see it.) so you’ll be free to speak your mind without fear of programmer retribution!
NOTE: Entry into the giveaway is easy, just register at www.filmfestivallounge.com, and submit a story within the “promotion period” and you’re automatically entered.
