The air is heavy as you make your way through unknown territory, as you pause to sniff the air a drop of rain falls onto your nose. It is soon followed by another and another and soon the rain is pelting down in sheets, soaking you to the bone. The clouds are an angry purple and the menacing drumming of thunder rolls over the sky. Squinting your eyes against the blinding water you find yourself at the edge of a large, dark pine forest. You are too desperate for shelter to notice the scents that mark the border and plunge in, and nearly into the chilly stream that runs through the territory. You veer away and as you are shaking the water out of your fur you notice a large pair of icy blue shards gazing at you. The storm has passed now and beams of sunlight filter through the thick canopy of pines, illuminating a massive male wolf not three feet away from where you stand.

His pelt looks like a bad patchwork job of black and white and beneath them you see large, hard bands of steely muscle and you know this is a warrior for his torso is marred with many battle scars. His banner curls over his back and his lips are drawn, exposing sharp ivory daggers. When he speaks his voice is deep and dominant, like the thunder you so recently heard.

"Wolf, you have found yourself in the terra of the Andere Seite Pack. I am Eclipse, king of this land."

It is only then that you notice another pair of lanterns gleaming in the penumbra and a dark-pelted fae slinks out into the clearing to stand next to the king, her own banner waves and her green and blue eyes bore into you. She is the same size as most males and a crisscrossing pattern of scars show that she too can take care of herself. Her voice is cold and has a snake-like sound to it yet you can see they are both fair rulers.

"And I am Nephthys, queen of Andere. We don’t care much for strangers so you must make your choice, Submit to us now or flee our lands and never return. If you fail to do either you will have little time left to regret it."

The formidable pair pierces you with their gaze and you feel as if all your secrets spill out before them. You are left with a decision now. Will you submit and take refuge in this dark forest or will you flee and never know what secrets these trees hide? Make haste, you can see that the pair grow tired of waiting.

HER DELICATE, SILVER paws made her way through one of the many paths silently. Of course, the thick blanket of soft snow that covered the ground helped her foot falls to make no sound. Being on the smaller side, the snow nearly made it up to her ‘knees’, and she had to put a little extra effort into each step. Not that she minded … except for not being able to swim in the lake, Queda loved just about everything about winter. Being a past royal, there was a certain … elegance, about the way she walked and carried herself. She stopped a moment when her grey eyes caught the sight of some smaller imprints that had previously been made in the snow. Both by sight and smell she determined there had been a couple rabbits that had crossed the path earlier in the day.

THE FEMME HAD not really been out and about in the lands lately. So much going on with the alphas, and having not detected Baroq or his family on the wind, she had not really seen a reason to. Kodiak and her had spent some quality time together during the heavier of the snow falls recently, which had been a few days before, and after that she had not seen him. Honestly she was not worried though, he was probably just roaming around the terra as was she. It had been so quiet around the territory the last few days, since the beta had gone off to defend the pack from the challenger. Queda found it quite odd that the beta was the one fighting, and it made her worry over the conditions of both Eclipse and Nephthys. She knew the black and white pelted king more so than the dark queen, but she respected both and would hate to find that something had happened to them. She shrugged the thoughts away for now, not really wanting to go down that road.

AS SHE WALKED beneath some heavily loaded branches, they decided to let go, and a large pile of snow fell on her. She ducked down, which only allowed the pile to bury her. Being a small built femme, it almost got all of her, just the top half of her skull was still poking through the ivory surface. With a huff, the silver female pushed upward and out, leaping free of the plushy snow. Turning to look at the pile as she gave herself a shake, a small smile formed on her lips. Her whole body shook, letting little chunks of snow fly from her. Not the best way to warm herself up … though it was not as if she had been searching for warmth in the first place. She began making her way once more towards … well, no where in particular, when the wind blew an interesting scent across her sensitive wolf nose.

HER NOSTRILS WIDENED, taking it in deeper. It was a wolf within the lands … female and adult. She seemed to just vaguely carry the scent of Andere Seite, so Queda’s best judgment; with the current alpha situation as it was that the unknown female was either just joined or let in on a temporary basis. If it was an intruder, their scent would not be mixed even that much with the territory’s. Queda changed her path and began towards the source of the scent. Better to talk with someone new than to be out bored and alone. Her pace was not quickened any, and whenever the strange femme’s trial changed a bit, the silver femme’s did as well. The female was actually rather talented at tracking, so it did not take much to hold onto the scent steadily. When she finally came upon the other female, by seeing her through a break in the trees, she called out to catch the wolf’s attention.

Hey!

AFTER SHE LEAPT out from behind the tree line, and landed easily in the snow about twenty yards away, her pace only quickened slightly above a walk until she was a few feet from the unknown female. Queda nodded politely towards the larger femme and let a friendly smile come over her own features.

Hello, I’m Queda. By your scent I’m guessing … temporary, acceptance, am I correct?

IT WAS A fairly basic introduction, though one might find it odd that she could guess about the scent. Most could, if they thought about it enough, but she had once been the alpha of a terra, and things like that still remained a second nature to the femme. Her voice had been gentle, though a rare graceful quality flowed with her lyrics. She let her small, friendly smile remain as she waited for an answer.
