To All Retirees,
The attorney opinion letter was mailed on Thursday, April 2nd, at 8 pm. By now, I hope that All have received your copy. If you are a member or recent member or contributed to the PRAA Legal Defense effort, and did not get your copy, please email me and I will send you a copy. We still have plenty of time. The deadline is May 15. We have arranged to have ATTY. Thomas come to the Retirees Luncheon, on Monday April 27th.. After I hear what he has to say, I will make my decision. I WILL THEN POST MY DECISION FOR THOSE WHO WONDER WHICH WAY I PLAN TO GO. I do not believe that ATTY. Thomas should get any of the money owed to me and you. If I OPT-OUT, there is no guarantee that he won't get some of my and your money. The judge could decide to grant him some of our money. What a joke. But if you OPT-OUT, you may be immune, if the judge rules that way. No way of telling which way a judge will rule. I only hope that one day we will be able to keep these attorneys from putting their hands into our pockets. Seems like they always collect, from someone. That's it for now.
