The air is heavy as you make your way through unknown territory, as you pause to sniff the air a drop of rain falls onto your nose. It is soon followed by another and another and soon the rain is pelting down in sheets, soaking you to the bone. The clouds are an angry purple and the menacing drumming of thunder rolls over the sky. Squinting your eyes against the blinding water you find yourself at the edge of a large, dark pine forest. You are too desperate for shelter to notice the scents that mark the border and plunge in, and nearly into the chilly stream that runs through the territory. You veer away and as you are shaking the water out of your fur you notice a large pair of icy blue shards gazing at you. The storm has passed now and beams of sunlight filter through the thick canopy of pines, illuminating a massive male wolf not three feet away from where you stand.

His pelt looks like a bad patchwork job of black and white and beneath them you see large, hard bands of steely muscle and you know this is a warrior for his torso is marred with many battle scars. His banner curls over his back and his lips are drawn, exposing sharp ivory daggers. When he speaks his voice is deep and dominant, like the thunder you so recently heard.

"Wolf, you have found yourself in the terra of the Andere Seite Pack. I am Eclipse, king of this land."

It is only then that you notice another pair of lanterns gleaming in the penumbra and a dark-pelted fae slinks out into the clearing to stand next to the king, her own banner waves and her green and blue eyes bore into you. She is the same size as most males and a crisscrossing pattern of scars show that she too can take care of herself. Her voice is cold and has a snake-like sound to it yet you can see they are both fair rulers.

"And I am Nephthys, queen of Andere. We don’t care much for strangers so you must make your choice, Submit to us now or flee our lands and never return. If you fail to do either you will have little time left to regret it."

The formidable pair pierces you with their gaze and you feel as if all your secrets spill out before them. You are left with a decision now. Will you submit and take refuge in this dark forest or will you flee and never know what secrets these trees hide? Make haste, you can see that the pair grow tired of waiting.

He went at a gentle trot, glancing back once or twice to see if Coal and Syn were following as he asked. They had slipped out of his sight, but he knew they wouldn’t be much further behind him. He continued on, his silky pelt rippling with each movement, though he did not have long-ish hair, it was the raw sinew and muscle underneath his ebony shining coat that made it ripple like it did. He stopped at the edge of the clearing and looked about warily, it wasn’t that he distrusted anyone in the pack; it was more of a habit from not being in a pack. He had grown wary of his surroundings and even when asleep it would not take very much at all to wake him.

He did not worry about anymore attacks, he knew he could handle any manner of big cat that strolled in, he only feared for the members in his pack and he knew he could do nothing but only be vigilant and patrol more often. He perked his ears at the sight of a mound of earth -pushed up by some natural force- at the wider end of the clearing. He looked from the mound to the other end of the clearing and shook himself, he walked up to the mound and a simple little hop was all that was needed. He turned and looked down the remainder of the clearing, nodding in satisfaction. A murmur slipped from his maw as he tilted his head to the invisible stars.

Mmmm….

A howl burst through the pack lands, bold, strong and commanding. He was not an asking, it was an order that everyone assemble to him efficiently. Some would think he was using his new power as alpha to get his way, well, technically he was, just not in a nasty context which most would assume. He actually needed to see who was here and meet the whole pack and oh, of course, he also hoped Kimani would reveal herself sometimes during the meeting, he wasn’t clingy but how he wanted her, it was almost unnatural. Still, he wouldn’t pine or complain either way; he simply knew he only had to wait for his Queen to be ready to come back from wherever the hell she went.

He smiled and let his rump meet the ground, momentarily forgetting what pain t his little movement would produce, he forced himself to relax, and tensing his muscles along his back would only put him in a bad, pain filled mood. Hopefully no one was in a ‘why’ mood today, but he knew it came with the job. He’d gladly kill without warning, although any movement at all was causing him pain, he had learned to channel any pain he felt into anger. Mostly in fights but a side effect was that any pain he felt would weigh him down to a more ‘moody’ side. With a high probability of snapping…someone’s neck.

His muddy stained amber pools washed over the clearing, eager to see everyone arrive, although, he only looked for Kimani. As soon as she arrived, he’d gladly forget everything and everyone else as she gave him that look that drove him crazy inside, her mustards flashed before his eyes and he couldn’t help but let a muffled whine fill his maw. Luckily his maw was shut so not a soul could have heard it. Plague let his eyes close, now even more alert to the faintest sound that anything produced, living or not. He sighed contentedly and thought that if not for the open wounds screaming pain down his back , the sliver scars that matched those exact wounds still provided a dull ache which in turn he had come to love, yes, other than that, Plague felt absolutely wonderful as he waited for the arrival of his pack members.
