Did you go to Woodstock? IP: 67.241.5.125 Posted on April 19, 2009 at 10:38:43 AM by Marc Catone
This summer marks the 40th anniversary of th (counter)cultural event of the Sixties...Woodstock.
Were you there?
Unfortunately...I wasn't, but I was so into the entire event...the spirit, the music, everything...that I sometimes feel like I was there.
I wonder how many of our Class of '68 members went to Yasgur's Farm in August of 1969.
I've been communicating with Joanne Hague since the 1990s...pre-computer. She started the Woodstock Preservation Society years ago. For the last few years, she's been compiling a book of photos and memories from attendees of those three days at Bethel NY in 1969.
Her new book, "WOODSTOCK Peace, Music & Memories", will be published this June...in time for the 40th anniversary of that major Sixties event.
Since 1997, I have enjoyed bringing our class together via this website. I will do so as long as I am able, but now I am asking for your support. If you feel you have enjoyed and benefitted by this site and its message board over these 10+ years, will you please contribute to its past and future upkeep by clicking on the donation button below. All amounts are greatfully received. Donations may be made using Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express, through PayPal, one of the most reputable credit card services on the web.
My first desire for the donations is to pay the fees to keep the URL of www.dhs68.org for at least the next 5 years until our next reunion. Thank you in advance for your support.
