Age: haha...old.
Sex: Male, duh.
Appearance: black hair, quite short and cropped, vivid green eyes. Looks quite young, despite his age. Wears shorts and a flimsy shirt, generally unbuttoned, and goes barefoot.
Personality: Playful, but stern where necessary. Sweet, but not shy. Loyal, and very trustworthy. Helps anyone whenever possible, and adores his loving shapeshifting familiar, Darling. [with permission of gia, for plot purposes.]
Sample:
‘What shall we do now, Darl?’ said the boy to his familiar, who was currently lying flat on his back, arms folded back under his head so that it rested upon his palms, legs askew and outstretched comfortable, eyes closed, sprawled out on the golden yellow sand. His black hair contrasted against the grains, like a little dark halo. The autumn sun’s rays gleamed gloriously above them, and though it was fall, the glowing ball’s warmth had not receded yet, and Caspian took advantage of it, bathing himself in its warmth and glow – though at the moment, that was a little difficult. For darling Darling was lying presently on her Caspian’s chest, having taken the form of a loving, purring kitten, and she lay comfortably, contentedly on top of him, not wishing to move and if Caspian moved, there would be dire consequences. ‘Well, actually, I’m really quite comfortable here. So my suggestion is, don’t move,’ and she snuggled a little closer, swishing her tail over his tummy making him squirm. ‘Stop that, Darling,’ he pouted, and she grumbled, shifting into a mouse, and scurrying under his open shirt.
Sighing softly with true contentment now – Darling was no longer restricting his air supply – he kept his eyes closed, hiding those vivid green eyes of his beneath dark lashes. He knew he should probably do something at this point, but really, he had little desire to move. He had never been to Shaman, and simply soaking up the sun was always a good idea should you ever find a new place you didn’t know.. He had been wandering for a while, roaming the lands far away from here, and he had returned, finding that he had missed this place greatly. Who wouldn’t have though? But more so, he missed his best friend, Aura. He longed to see her again, and he would of course soon. Once he was done sunbathing, of course.
‘We’ll go and see Aura and Anneliese soon, won’t we, Caspian?’ Darling’s familiar voice in his mind, and he nodded, knowing that she would know this for assent. Of course. ‘I’m really excited,’ she squealed, scuttling over his chest and making him squirm as her feet danced over him, ‘I’ve missed Anneliese! We’ll get to talk, and she’ll get to fly with me,’ she hummed in contentment, form changing once again to a fluffy white rabbit. She never seemed to want to settle, thought Caspian as his thoughts drifted, but he liked it that way. He loved Darling, of course, for that had been together so many years, and she knew him inside out and vice versa, and her changing form always kept him on his toes. ‘Yes, we’ll go and see her soon,’ he promised, ‘I have missed Aura and Anneliese too, so we will definitely go and find them.’
So he simply rested now, letting his wearied muscles take in the autumn sun as it warmed him, letting his thoughts drift, wander, and Darling snuffled, edging her way off his chest so that she was on the sand, and hopped so that she rested against the crook of his neck, snuggling comfortably down next to him. ‘Reckon we’ll stay here for now?’ she sighed questioning Casp, and she closed her eyes, finally, as he had done, and settled. But she knew that Caspian would not answer, for even he did not know. So they lay in silence, in tranquility, and just let the time pass, wash over them. They weren’t expecting company today, but perhaps they would find some or company would find them, companionably sprawled over the golden sand of the cove.
