The air is heavy as you make your way through unknown territory, as you pause to sniff the air a drop of rain falls onto your nose. It is soon followed by another and another and soon the rain is pelting down in sheets, soaking you to the bone. The clouds are an angry purple and the menacing drumming of thunder rolls over the sky. Squinting your eyes against the blinding water you find yourself at the edge of a large, dark pine forest. You are too desperate for shelter to notice the scents that mark the border and plunge in, and nearly into the chilly stream that runs through the territory. You veer away and as you are shaking the water out of your fur you notice a large pair of icy blue shards gazing at you. The storm has passed now and beams of sunlight filter through the thick canopy of pines, illuminating a massive male wolf not three feet away from where you stand.

His pelt looks like a bad patchwork job of black and white and beneath them you see large, hard bands of steely muscle and you know this is a warrior for his torso is marred with many battle scars. His banner curls over his back and his lips are drawn, exposing sharp ivory daggers. When he speaks his voice is deep and dominant, like the thunder you so recently heard.

"Wolf, you have found yourself in the terra of the Andere Seite Pack. I am Eclipse, king of this land."

It is only then that you notice another pair of lanterns gleaming in the penumbra and a dark-pelted fae slinks out into the clearing to stand next to the king, her own banner waves and her green and blue eyes bore into you. She is the same size as most males and a crisscrossing pattern of scars show that she too can take care of herself. Her voice is cold and has a snake-like sound to it yet you can see they are both fair rulers.

"And I am Nephthys, queen of Andere. We don’t care much for strangers so you must make your choice, Submit to us now or flee our lands and never return. If you fail to do either you will have little time left to regret it."

The formidable pair pierces you with their gaze and you feel as if all your secrets spill out before them. You are left with a decision now. Will you submit and take refuge in this dark forest or will you flee and never know what secrets these trees hide? Make haste, you can see that the pair grow tired of waiting.

[Doughnut - When I finish the pack description(almost done ^^) I’m going to also give the Plague/Kimani pic for the pack board, if it’s alright with you.]

Kimani was out. No one, not even Plague had been made aware as to where ‘out’ was, exactly. The first place she had gone, only Plague would have been able to guess anyways. But if anyone were to ask her then, that would be the response. A quick, sharp toned ‘out’. Then again, most would not ask … for what was in her mouth would probably be their main interest. A freshly killed buck. Not the largest specimen, and yes, they had quite a sizeable pack, but the ‘first come, first served’ method would be in place for the meal. It could feed a good six or so adults, five or so if any pups wished to feast. And part of it would be saved, in case Beowulf had woken. She herself suspected some sort of comatose, though she would have loved a second opinion from the pack’s only really qualified healer, Xavior. It was strange that his scent was not super strong, so it was very possible he had taken a break. Maybe given the pack some space, with all the drama going on previous to the lynx attack. She doubted the elderly male would have left for good without saying anything. Too out of character, and that was something about most wolves she had noticed … always so in character with themselves. Even your oddest wolves could become predictable after so long of studying their behavior. And unless it was some sort of emergency or something of the sort, the queen doubted he would be absent for more than an hour without alerting them to the fact. As she crossed into Andere Seite, even with the neck of the large beast between her jaws, Kimani raised her tail toward the sky, wearing her position with pride. And no doubt, she was strong. Her body type was bulky, and a little larger than the average male … but still beautiful, at least to Plague, none the less. Her grey pelted, which was patched with white, was stained with the ungulate’s blood, which was still randomly splurting from the place in his neck that was held tightly between her knives. Really, though, it had been an overall clean kill. Her muzzle was the bloodiest part, and her chest nearly as painted with the scarlet liquid. A small amount had dripped onto her paws as well.

So why had she just up and left? The ones who knew her well enough, Plague and Nephthys, would know that she was not just abandoning the place. Nothing could ever make her amount to that. She was born and raised, and now alpha [again] over the beloved land. But, she did need occasional time outs, particularly when she was angry. And after dealing with the lynx attack … seeing the bloody mess it made of her sister and of one of her most loyal pack members … she was beyond furious. Some might have cried … some might have wanted to stay with the hurt ones. Well, when anything affected her like that, she simply got mad. Different levels of anger, like anyone. Well, the lynx attack had made her furious, and then the site of Plague with the dead beast … that had made a flurry of emotion in her. Anger, fear, pride, relief … some more anger. She was obviously good at hiding this, since no one had seemed to catch on. She was angry enough to kill … and well, she did not think that being in a pack land filled with wolves at that time would be a good idea. So she spent some time in the place only Plague would know, and then vented out her anger on the buck that was now being dragged towards her mate’s scent. It was with a group of wolves – good, a pack meeting. The other scents she recognized belonged to Kenji, Baroq, and Jewel. The others were all familiar, but some she had no yet met, and the one’s she had met she could not place a name with. Besides, her main flow of thought was all on Plague. When she found the group, she had not yet been noticed. There was quite a strong wind blowing, and she was downwind. Sure, they might have noticed the slight scent of deer meat, though probably though it was coming from no man’s land and chose to ignore it. She placed the body of the ungulate down on the ground, and listened to her man speak to the crowd. Damn, she had missed his voice.

“Any Questions?”

Yeah, you hungry?

Before anyone else could even attempt to mutter a syllable, her strong voice spoke out. Right after asking, her teeth grasped the neck of the prize and began dragging it through the trees and into the clearing. Tail still high, and stepped strong, even under the weight of the hoofed beast. When she had made it about half way into the clearing, she let the buck’s body fall from her jaws. A short, harsh glance around to everyone the femme told them not to take a share. Kimani wanted to be sure that one, Plague was well fed and happy, and two, she needed to see if Beowulf was yet awake. If so, one share of meat would go to him. She walked to Plague, nuzzling slightly into his ebony fur, and then turning towards the rest of the wolves, remaining at her king’s side.

My pack mates, please, wait until Plague takes his fill, then feel free to take some. Just be sure there is at least a good mouthful left when you’re all finished.

She let a small smile onto her lips towards them, nodding respectfully towards them, and then turned her skull to her mate. Her yellow eyes met his brown pair, and she winked at him. Obviously, she was in a better mood than when she had left – and no one had even knew how bad of a mood she had left with in the first place. She watched the others for another moment or so, then, without looking at him, spoke in one of those low-ish voices that two adults would talk in when they don’t want to whisper, but don’t feel like announcing something to the whole world.

So … you doing anything later?

It was more or less playful banter, though some time alone with him would be nice. Actually, first thing, she wanted to check in on her sister and Beowulf, who may or may not still be in the same clearing, depending if Nephthys had moved or not. She figured if it was at all possible for Beowulf to move, the loyal-over-his-head wolf would be at the meeting. A fool, but the good kind. As she watched the events, never bringing her eyes up to Plague, she waited for the reply, ready to compare plans and make for some alone time at some point.
