Hi Djbladz,
No singular things pops out, but many of his symptoms can be attributed to adrenal dysfunction. Many of the symptoms are also fitting of panic attacks. Panic attacks can occur for either excess epinephrine with a lack of acetylcholine, or more commonly from a lactate build up.
A few suggestions to start with. I recommend focusing primarily on the adrenal glands with the Adrenal Tonic and supplemental ashwagandha. I mention the ashwagandha in conjunction because it stimulates the GABA receptors in the brain. This will slow down nerve impulses somewhat, which should also help with the hyperhidrosis of the palms by reducing sympathetic nerve activity. Hyperhidrosis can have various contributing factors including medications, diabetes, thyroid problems, etc. If the adrenals are shot this could in turn suppress thyroid function, which can also cause some of these symptoms. Hypothyroidism is frequently missed on lab tests.
In conjunction to the Adrenal Tonic and ashwagandha I also recommend:
-Trimethylglycine (TMG), 500mg 3 times daily, to assist with neurotransmitter formation. TMG is also helpful for energy, immunity, digestion, etc.
-Lecithin granules, 1 tablespoon 3 times daily with meals to help increase acetylcholine production.
-He needs to straighten up by strengthening his back muscles. This will allow him to get more oxygen in by allowing the lungs to expand more. This in turn will help reduce his lactate levels. By the same token I recommend deep breathing exercises.
-He also needs to work on improving his diet and cutting out the alcohol. His diet should have an increase in nutrient rich foods such as fruits and vegetables. Especially vitamin C rich (watercress, kiwis, papaya, berries)for the adrenals and B vitamin rich (brewer's yeast, seaweeds, brown rice, bee pollen) for the liver and nervous system. Alcohol depletes B vitamins from the body, which is why he should be cutting out the alcohol.
There is a good start. Though I am curious as to what he use to do for a living when this all started? Occupational exposures can cause many problems in people so this information would be helpful. Also, has he taken steroids, such as Prednisone or inhalers, for any conditions?
