The air is heavy as you make your way through unknown territory, as you pause to sniff the air a drop of rain falls onto your nose. It is soon followed by another and another and soon the rain is pelting down in sheets, soaking you to the bone. The clouds are an angry purple and the menacing drumming of thunder rolls over the sky. Squinting your eyes against the blinding water you find yourself at the edge of a large, dark pine forest. You are too desperate for shelter to notice the scents that mark the border and plunge in, and nearly into the chilly stream that runs through the territory. You veer away and as you are shaking the water out of your fur you notice a large pair of icy blue shards gazing at you. The storm has passed now and beams of sunlight filter through the thick canopy of pines, illuminating a massive male wolf not three feet away from where you stand.

His pelt looks like a bad patchwork job of black and white and beneath them you see large, hard bands of steely muscle and you know this is a warrior for his torso is marred with many battle scars. His banner curls over his back and his lips are drawn, exposing sharp ivory daggers. When he speaks his voice is deep and dominant, like the thunder you so recently heard.

"Wolf, you have found yourself in the terra of the Andere Seite Pack. I am Eclipse, king of this land."

It is only then that you notice another pair of lanterns gleaming in the penumbra and a dark-pelted fae slinks out into the clearing to stand next to the king, her own banner waves and her green and blue eyes bore into you. She is the same size as most males and a crisscrossing pattern of scars show that she too can take care of herself. Her voice is cold and has a snake-like sound to it yet you can see they are both fair rulers.

"And I am Nephthys, queen of Andere. We don’t care much for strangers so you must make your choice, Submit to us now or flee our lands and never return. If you fail to do either you will have little time left to regret it."

The formidable pair pierces you with their gaze and you feel as if all your secrets spill out before them. You are left with a decision now. Will you submit and take refuge in this dark forest or will you flee and never know what secrets these trees hide? Make haste, you can see that the pair grow tired of waiting.

Plague was silent as Kimani closed the meeting, inhaling the strong scent of newcomers, more than one in some occasions. He held back a sigh and actually felt proud, their pack was never less than popular. It was thriving extremely well, even in the harder months of the years. Plague smiled and nuzzled Kimani as all members started to melt back into their home. He licked her forehead and smiled, god how he needed a rest, the meal had been nice and now all he wanted was a long drink and a nice nap in some far to reach place. He couldn’t help but yawn and stretch his joints, his jaws gaping wide as they parted, showing his deadly armoury.

He nuzzled into Kimani’s neck, inhaling her deep sweet scent and noticed the pup was gone; he looked about for it and frowned slightly. Oh well, he thought. They can’t get far and the pack was a pretty safe place to be, with so many members, it was hard for a single intruder to penetrate their borders. Plague turned and loped off, setting into a hard lope, forcing him to go faster than his usual pace- faster than any wolf’s usual pace-, there was no point in idling. Things had to be done and done now.

He weaved successfully through the trees, his amber sphere’s scanning in front of him, he swiftly ducked and leaped, hardly slackening his pace, and he was rather enjoying it. Being much little more than a blur, he streaked across a clearing and melted back into the woods. He came to a creek, quite wide, it was possible to leap it, but he slowed and padded down to the water’s edge, relieving his throat with a long drink. Then he plunged into it and waded through to the other side. He came up onto the other bank, shook himself and scenting the newcomer nearby, and trotted towards it. He stepped over a rotten log and curled his banner over his spine, moving swiftly to the omega’s side. He knew her, Jena, was her name, one of the daughter’s of his Zetas. She had not long ago let out a howl which made Plague’s job all the faster. He nodded to her with a glint of smile, and then prickled his backbone slightly towards the newcomer, speaking emotionlessly, but he paced at the same time. He was constantly late to newcomers, with there being so many and not every one was happy.

Screw them, I am king.

He thought with a chuckle. He knew Kimani thought exactly the same thing. Patience was only one of the many tests that any wolf that waited tirelessly at the borders to be accepted went through- many more waited inside the pack. He could deal with inexperienced, he couldn’t stand ignorant. Though the tone of the males voice towards Jena had pleased him.

Welcome to you. I am Plague, king of Andere. What is your name?

A couple of backwards steps showed he was welcome and Plague simply waited for his reply.
