Hi Djbladz,
There is too much to go through every link, but based on the links I did look at it looks like they are just selling whatever they can sell. And they use a lot of hype to do it.
For example, in order to sell alkaline water units they claim that acids in cells inhibit cellular energy. Actually it is just the opposite. Malic and citric acids are just a few of the acids required for the formation of adenosine triphosphate (ATP), which fuels the cells. And their claim that acid promotes cancer is also wrong. Lactic acid is the byproduct of cancer, not the cause. In fact alkaline waters can cause numerous health problems, mainly by neutralizing the necessary acids in the body, especially stomach acid. If you search these boards I did some detailed posts on the problems with alkaline waters.
As for their blender, again a lot of hype. It is pretty much the same thing as a Vitamix, but about 3 times more expensive. And I am surprised that a group so in to health would want to use a blender with a polycarbonate container. Polycarbonate is made with toxic bisphenol A, which is released in to the contents, especially if they are heated.
I saw they were also selling prill beads for $40.00 a pound. What is funny is the marketing guru for prill beads lives in Henerson, connected to Las Vegas. I was reading some of the MLM hype over the prill beads several years ago. The funniest claim was that he put some prill beads in Lake Mead and that the lake is now pristine. What a joke!!! I was born and raised here so I have spent a lot of time at Lake Mead. That lake has always been a cess pool.
Prill beads are actually nothing more than zeolites. Zeolites are actually a group of minerals with about 49 different types. Some zeolites are fibrous and closely related to asbestos, and are known to cause cancer. I pick up natural zeolites at the aquarium store for about $6.00 a pound. In bulk I heard they sell for about $0.50 a pound. They are sold as ammonia remover. Zeolites are actually aluminum silicates. They are formed naturally from volcanic activity, but can also be synthesized. They are used primarily as absorbants and catalysts due to their super high surface area from the millions of little spaces in these rocks. I have used them to purify water for external use, but I would not use the water internally, or take the zeolites internally due to the aluminum in them. Yet this is exactly what people are promoting, including injections to treat cancer. Studies on its use for cancer are contradictory. Either way I would not ingest them mainly because I would be worried that the stomach acid may release the aluminum from the zeolites.
As for their probiotic product, I still cannot figure out for the life of me why so many companies add herbs or extracts with antibiotic properties to probiotic formulas. The goal should be to get these beneficial bacteria in to the gut alive, not kill them before you ingest them! Yet their products contains not only herbs, but other compounds such as essential oils that have antibiotic properties.
