TO ALL RETIREES,
I would like to remind all Retirees how very important it is for each of us to vote for Pension Trustees when an election is called. Your vote is the only way you can impact the pension fund. If you do not vote, you are saying you don't care. Or, what's the use. If that is you then you are really over the hill. Let me bring one thing to mind for us all.
Retirees are a special interest group.
There are approximately 1500 of us. Because of our sheer numbers, we can elect anyone to the pension board if we just vote a block. That is exactly what we should be doing. In previous elections, our turnout has been poor. The Pension Office keeps track of how many Retirees vote in any election. I would be so proud if we could get our numbers up into the 75% range. That gives Retirees election power that cannot be denied. So, please take the time to cast your vote. Each vote is important. The most important votes are the ones that are not cast. Wake up Retirees, realize the power you have with your vote. Now that you are awake and aware, make sure you cast your vote for the candidate of your choice. Retirees are a POWER, we just have to vote to prove it. Vote, it's a great thing to do.
