Where in my post did I call the local landowners goomers ? I believe I called the one person ( or WAG )a goomer --
"think you will find that the goomer that wrote that email". I resent being mis-quoted to make a point at my expense.
Perhaps you should read my email to Beverly.
I find that you and SOME of the people that posted on this site like to use the words insult and insulting a lot.
I too am insulted that all birders have been insulted by one landowner/local --
"The large spotting scopes can focus in on not only properties, but the privacy of the people who live here. If you had or have children would you approval of this?"
Why children had to brought into this I do not know but I do as a father feel greatly insulted by the suggestion that we are scoping children, that's sick.
I have the greatest respect for the private property and rights of the landowners but resent being told that I am tresspassing -- "Stay off our private properties...You are in fact not allowed to be on there for bird watching, you will be charged with trespassing if you are caught"
Let's stop this bickering and put all this behind us. I apologize to the land owners, etc. if I ruffled your feathers (pun) but not to letters.
Believe it or not, I am not ignorant though you think so and I will continue sticking to the public roads and will leave my blurg in my post that asks all to respect the property rights up there but I will not stand by when I am being insulted and mis-quoted.
Have a good day and keep protesting those that do cross fences or block roads and maybe some day they will get it. Replies: There have been no replies.
