I think we are talking about 2 different dental procedures..capped or crowning vs jacketed.. I thought you were saying at first the "capped" was a repair after the tooth is broken and then it's built back up.
The jacket is a protective cover of the tooth to prevent wear and breakage. I've just seen the jacketed teeth on French dogs.
Another guy from Canada said he had his dog's k9s done for about $500/tooth. He gave me this photo link, but this is called restoration crowning.
However, the teeth I saw done in France were done in a way that you could see parts of the natural tooth underneath the jacket..vertical spaces all the way up under the jacket. I really wish I snapped a photo...it's very hard to describe in an email. But, it does NOT look like the photo following.
I'm looking into it, but want to be sure it's the right way to go. Thanks for the information.
