Extended Physical Description

Koralynne has a long, lanky look to her but while she is lacking in grace and elegance there is a certain wild beauty to make up for it. She is a bit on the bony side with a longer-than-strictly-proportional back. If not for the gleam of health in her striking blue coat one might think her starved. Her powerful legs are built for running long distances though she isn’t much of a sprinter. Her eyes are kind, wide and intelligent.

Personality

She is a dreamer caught in her own world where everyone is kind and no one means her harm. At times she looses reality in this dream of hers. Her favorite dream is the one where she is a bird soaring over the mountains she so adores. There is an undying energy to her and she isn’t in the least bit shy or reserved. A happy-go-lucky, free spirit that is extremely hard to bring down. Her open mindedness leaves her willing to trust and believe in anyone even if her better judgment says otherwise. She has never been able to bring herself to consider another an enemy, though she may be briefly angry or hurt over the individual wrongs done to her. Her loyalty is unwavering once won and if she ever falls in love it will be quickly, deeply and likely disastrous.

History

Prolog

Born to a very protective mother and completely unknown father she grew up in the herd of her mother’s current mate Mort. That unknown was a thing Koralynne always wondered about and never learned anything of. She had a fairly normal childhood aside from constant run-ins with her “step father” who took a very un-fatherly interest in her. Her one friend was a younger colt named Sildar who insisted on being called Aaron. They got along well enough but he never had the adventurous spirit that she did. She’d always dreamed of going out into the world and learning all there was to learn. Of course she didn’t expect to actually do it. The chance came on her second birthday when mother Rabba chased Mort away from her for the millionth time and told the girl flat out that she wouldn’t do it again. Her exact words being, “your choice girl, get the hell out of here or end up stuck in the same hole I fell in.” It wasn’t hard to decide not to fall. Kora had planned on the company of Aaron but he professed himself uninterested so feeling only slightly hurt and dejected she struck out on her grand adventure. The hurt and dejection quickly faded in the face of the many wondrous things she began to encounter. Months have past now though and she grows weary of being lost and alone. So it is with great hope and high expectations that she arrives in the land of Avenion…
