As you may have noticed, I’ve placed a new SURVEY link on our Home Page.
The questions I’m asking may or may not be helpful in determining the cause of low voters turn-out. I plan on sharing the results with the website, our Retiree’s Association and our Pension Board.
This is a real important issued for everyone associated with our pension. It’s easy to set back and say, “Oh..the Active or Retirees are just not interested in the politics of the pension Well… how do you know that? Has anyone asked?
The is the first attempt at getting to the root of poor voters turn-out. As I discuss the results of this issue with our Board and we re-evaluate the questions and responses, maybe we’ll be able to address the poor voter turn-out issue and have some very constructive answers.
Please encourage your pension brothers and sisters to log-on to our website and take the poll. Please refrain from taking the poll more than once. It defeats the whole purpose of the poll to start with.
The length of time the poll stays active will depend on the participation of our members, I’ll monitor the results daily, as I begin to see a clear pattern, I’ll make the decision to end the poll and share the results. At this point in time, I’ll consider one or two months should be enough.
