Hi, I'm hoping you can help identify a tree in our backyard. It appears to be a rose apple (is malay apple the same?) but whilst last year it had pear shaped red fruit, this year it is also bearing larger, purple fruit of the same pear shape. Are they ok to eat and do you think it is a rose apple?
