The air is heavy as you make your way through unknown territory, as you pause to sniff the air a drop of rain falls onto your nose. It is soon followed by another and another and soon the rain is pelting down in sheets, soaking you to the bone. The clouds are an angry purple and the menacing drumming of thunder rolls over the sky. Squinting your eyes against the blinding water you find yourself at the edge of a large, dark pine forest. You are too desperate for shelter to notice the scents that mark the border and plunge in, and nearly into the chilly stream that runs through the territory. You veer away and as you are shaking the water out of your fur you notice a large pair of icy blue shards gazing at you. The storm has passed now and beams of sunlight filter through the thick canopy of pines, illuminating a massive male wolf not three feet away from where you stand.

His pelt looks like a bad patchwork job of black and white and beneath them you see large, hard bands of steely muscle and you know this is a warrior for his torso is marred with many battle scars. His banner curls over his back and his lips are drawn, exposing sharp ivory daggers. When he speaks his voice is deep and dominant, like the thunder you so recently heard.

"Wolf, you have found yourself in the terra of the Andere Seite Pack. I am Eclipse, king of this land."

It is only then that you notice another pair of lanterns gleaming in the penumbra and a dark-pelted fae slinks out into the clearing to stand next to the king, her own banner waves and her green and blue eyes bore into you. She is the same size as most males and a crisscrossing pattern of scars show that she too can take care of herself. Her voice is cold and has a snake-like sound to it yet you can see they are both fair rulers.

"And I am Nephthys, queen of Andere. We don’t care much for strangers so you must make your choice, Submit to us now or flee our lands and never return. If you fail to do either you will have little time left to regret it."

The formidable pair pierces you with their gaze and you feel as if all your secrets spill out before them. You are left with a decision now. Will you submit and take refuge in this dark forest or will you flee and never know what secrets these trees hide? Make haste, you can see that the pair grow tired of waiting.

As Plague listened to Nephthys speak, he was determined to not pity her. He didn’t, not at all; he simply tried to understand how she felt, which he probably never would unless Kimani left him and never returned. Just thinking of the possibility made it seem silly, but stood before him was a stark reminder of that possibility; most faes never seemed to see that a fae could also leave a guy and he could get his heart broken. Plague supposed an already broken hearted wolf wouldn’t care much for her sister’s partner after something like that. Plague understood that N only worried for the same thing happening to her sister and though he could never possible leave Kimani, Nephthys probably wouldn’t ever see that. Truly, words meant nothing, but then, actions spoke a thousand of them, so in turn, they must count for something, however little that m at be in N’s eyes, Plague decided to set a few things straight.
First, Eclipse, he didn’t really feel threatened for loss of his throne at all. Any wolf that decidedly walked away from the pack wouldn’t be in Plague’s best respects.
Plague didn’t blink as she said she would kill him if anything were to happen to Kimani. What she failed to see or ignored was that he couldn’t simply live without her, so really, it made no difference. Kimani came first in his life, before anything else, she was there. He blinked, somewhat transfixed by N’s staring gaze and spoke up.

I understand that words don’t mean much, if at all, anything to you. I want you to know that my throne is simply a title compared to the family I have here. I would give anything for my family, anything at all, with the slightest hesitation. I didn’t ask about…him because I felt my throne threatened. I asked because if his sorry arse turns up here, I wanted to know how to handle the situation, taking you into account. I’ll simply leave you to it, with whatever you desire. I did not wish to cause you any more pain than you’ve already suffered. I understand these are mere words and they don’t prove anything, but this will be proved over time. Indeed, I understand why you don’t approve of me and Kimani. I understand you fear for her, even more than I ever could. As far as your place in our pack is concerned, you’re my family, whether you like it or not. I do trust you Nephthys, you seem slightly unpredictable, but you also still have the ability to love. I’ve seen you with Zanzibar, speaking of which, you should go find him and spend time with him.

Plague nodded slowly, a slight smile coming to his lips as he let himself slide down to the ground. He hadn’t shown it, but he was hell tired, although he simply laid there in an upright position with his eyes lightly closed. It was sort of his half asleep, half awake thing. He could dash away at a moments notice, but he knew he would need every bit of energy he could get. Kimani was extremely busy, taking on the bulk of newcomers, he’d have to go meet her and tell her about the talk with Nephthys. He looked at his paws and smiled. He till seemed to have all his digits and he wasn’t even scratched up or anything. Plague didn’t lull himself into a false sense of security about Kimani’s sister, he simply enjoyed the fact that nothing bad had happened and they had gotten a few things straight. He was especially surprised to hear that she trusted him, even if it was only to do with the pack. It was a start.
Plague simply watched as N left or continued the conversation.
