The effect Viriarus's speech has on my cinnamon-honey is obvious and imediate. I doubt she actually heard the words Viriarus spoke through that shroud of panic that gripped her.. but that gem of hers worked whether she bade it or not. The words might have only been heard in passing, but their meaning was impressed on her... and the no-nonsense attitude of the Valkyrie Queen. She jumped, head shooting up as she tried to slam on the breaks midair, ears swiveling around before her head and neck follow. Wide-eyed, nostrils flared, she turns her neck to view Viriarus as, coming down from her vertical leap, her hooves catch the ground and log and tree and drag her to a very abrupt halt. Bent at the knees, muscles tense with the struggle of stopping, she feels a small pain in her breast. She'd think on that later.
She watches Viriarus for a moment in silence, and a moment is all it took for Rachel to show up. Ah, yes. Rescue! Her head bows, balancing her out as she sorts out where her legs ended up in her. Extracting them from the ploughline she's made in the leaf-litter, one forelimb carelessly lounging over a fallen trunk. She uses that trunk as leverage, pulling that limb up then pushing her hoof against it to lift her other limb up. She executed a very slow rollback.
"I should have been paying attention..."
She ambles her way shyly forward, ears pricking up as she listens to Rachel address this new mare. Ma'am. She didn't look old enough for a ma'am. She must be extra-important, then?
If possible, her ears pricked up even more as she heard her mother's name. Wait.. that daughter of Kitty? THAT daughter? Oh dear... has Kitty been telling tales?
