The Valley
Between the Meadow and the Field is the third of Beqanna’s Common Grounds. A rolling valley is bisected by a broad and shallow river. The grass is thick and lush, and this is a good place for a stallion to live with his family if he does not yet have a herd land.

His features are blank, his form moving quietly through the darker parts of the woods on the way to the Valley. The idea of a territory to rule had been bypassed for now, what was the point in claiming a small plot of land within Beqanna? No, the children needed to learn to be a group within a more open area, and conform to less ‘normal’ ideals.
His lithe frame pauses and turns, slowly to observe the youngster following in his path, mind going through potential ways to begin, this is new to him as well. He waits for her to pause and then circles, like a cat eyeing the prey it’s about to eat, before the words flow out of his mouth, How old are you child? What a deceptively innocent question, just the start of their relationship, for even those of student and teacher or arch enemies begin somewhere.
